Abdominal liposuction
Recommended intervention primarily in patients with good skin quality, generally young, with moderate abdominal fat accumulation and without alterations in the abdominal wall.
Usually it is not the treatment of choice for women who have had pregnancies, as these cases are associated with a separation of the abdominal muscles (rectus muscle diastasis) that can not be repaired by liposuction.
The procedure is performed with epidural or local anesthesia, sucking fat through a cannula through small incisions in the skin that barely leave scars.
During the postoperative use of a compression garment therapy and lymphatic drainage to decrease inflammation is required.
